What to do to if you no longer have access to the email linked to your Vault

If you no longer have access to the email linked to your Vault, you won’t be able to update it directly from your account settings.

Ether.fi is a non-custodial platform. We do not control or have access to your Vault, which means we cannot simply change your email on your behalf.

Why can’t Ether.fi change my email?

Your Vault is designed to give you full control over your assets. Because of this:

  • Ether.fi does not store or manage your access credentials

  • We cannot modify Vault ownership or email details

  • No internal team can override this for security reasons

This is a core security feature, not a limitation.

How can I recover access?

The only way to regain access is through a Vault recovery process

  • This process verifies ownership and securely restores access to your Vault

  • Recovery fee: $50

  • Once completed, you’ll be able to set a new email

  • This is a complex process that involves multiple verification steps

  • It can take up to 60 days to complete

How to start the recovery process

To begin:

  • Use the chat icon in the bottom right of the app

  • Provide your account information (verification may be required)

Important notes

  • Recovery is required if you no longer have access to your original email

  • There is no alternative way to update or change the email linked to your Vault

  • You won’t be able to send funds from your Vault without access to the linked email

  • This process exists to protect your funds from unauthorized access
