What is my ether.fi Cash Vault, and how does it work?

Learn how your ether.fi Cash Vault works, who controls it, and how your assets are secured.

When you become an ether.fi member, a Turnkey Externally Owned Account (EOA) is created during registration.

  • Only you can authorize access to your wallet.

  • ether.fi cannot access your private keys or move your funds.

  • Your ether.fi Cash Vault provides the foundation for your membership benefits and interactions with ether.fi services.

What is Turnkey?

Turnkey is the secure wallet infrastructure used to manage signing credentials for ether.fi members.

When you register, your account is created within a separate sub-organization on the Turnkey platform.

Turnkey uses cryptographic technology to protect your private keys while allowing you to maintain control over your assets.

Your private keys are protected within Trusted Execution Environments (secure enclaves) and can only be used when you explicitly authenticate.

How does my ether.fi Cash Vault work?

Your ether.fi Cash Vault provides a non-custodial foundation for managing your digital assets and accessing ether.fi services, including Cash.

Your Vault uses Safe smart account technology, combining multisignature security with modular functionality.

This structure allows you to manage your assets while maintaining control over transaction authorization.

Who owns and controls my ether.fi Cash Vault?
