Deleting your Cash account
You can delete your ether.fi Cash account yourself from your account settings. You do not need to contact Support.
How to delete your Cash account
Go to Settings → Security.
Select Delete account.
Read what will be deleted, type DELETE to confirm, then select Continue.
Enter the 6-digit code we email you.
You are logged out once the request is confirmed.
What happens next
Your account is scheduled for deletion rather than deleted straight away. The exact date is shown when you confirm, and we email it to you.
Changed your mind?
Log back in before that date and the deletion is cancelled automatically — you do not need to contact Support. Once that date passes, the deletion cannot be undone.
Why can't I delete my account?
You still have a balance — withdraw it first.
You have an outstanding borrow balance — repay it first.
Card transactions are still settling — try again in a few days.
Corporate accounts, and users who are not the sole admin of their account, cannot delete from here — contact Support.
What data is kept
Identity verification records are kept for as long as financial regulations require, even after your account closes. Deleting your account will not allow you to successfully pass KYC for an ether.fi account in the future.
