Membership Points System

Your Ether.fi membership tier is determined by points you earn through various activities on the platform

Updated yesterday

How to Earn Points

You can gather membership points through three main activities:

  • Staking - Earn points for staking ETH (eETH/weeth, weehts and weethk), BTC (eBTC) or USD (eUSD).

  • Liquid Vaults - Points for holding and using Liquid

  • Using your Cash Card - Points for transactions with your Ether.fi Cash card

How the Point System Works, Monthly Reset and Tier Updates

  • Points reset every calendar month - your count starts fresh each month

  • Immediate tier upgrades - once you earn enough points for a higher tier or have the corresponding amount of staked ETHFI, you're upgraded.

  • Tier maintenance required - you must maintain your point threshold each month to keep your tier level, as points reset at the start of a new month.

Membership points

Membership points determine your tier level and eligibility for certain benefits.

Membership and other rewards

Having an ether.fi membership gives you access to events and campaigns that may offer multiple rewards.

Membership does not guarantee rewards by default. Instead, it allows you to participate in eligible events where rewards can be earned based on defined rules.

Depending on the campaign, events may generate different types of rewards, including:

  • Tokens

  • Cashback bonuses

  • Points multipliers

  • Partner or promotional rewards

Each event has its own:

  • Eligibility requirements

  • Reward structure

  • Duration and limits

Rewards are only distributed when an event is active and announced. Participating in one event does not guarantee rewards in future events.

Your membership tier and activity may affect eligibility or reward size, depending on the specific campaign rules.

Details for all active and upcoming events and campaigns are published on the official ether.fi Events page: https://etherfi.gitbook.io/etherfi/events

How to link External Wallets (EOAs)

When you link an external wallet to your Ether.fi account:

  • Immediate point assignment - all eligible points from your linked wallet are instantly added to your membership account

  • Historical activity counts - previous staking and liquid token activity is recognized such as ETHFI staking

How to Link a Wallet

  1. Click on the Account Icon on either mobile or web, and select "Manage Linked Wallets."

  2. You’ll see two options:

    • "Connect Another Wallet" – use this if you want to connect a new wallet

    • "Link a Wallet" – use this if you're already connected with the wallet you want to link

  3. To connect a new wallet:

    • Make sure to connect your desired external wallet using WalletConnect or your browser wallet (like Rabby Wallet, Binance Wallet or MetaMask).

    • Once connected, click "Sign to Authenticate" to confirm and link your wallet.

  4. If you’ve already selected your wallet, you can skip the “Connect Another Wallet” step and proceed directly to linking.

  5. Once your wallet is linked, all eligible past and future activity from that wallet will count toward your membership points.

Tier changes and physical cards

  • Cards issued will always work - your physical card continues functioning regardless of tier changes, it will just self adjust to the current tier.

  • Benefits adjust automatically - cashback percentages and other perks update to match your current tier

  • No card replacement needed - upgrades and downgrades happen seamlessly. You don't need to change your card to obtain tiered benefits.

Key Takeaways

  • Membership points reset monthly

  • Tiers can upgrade instantly based on activity or staking

  • Physical cards automatically adjust to tier changes

  • Active participation increases eligibility for future reward campaigns
