Where do I see what I'm earning?
The Borrow page shows the portfolio backed by collateral and the average APY. Rewards accrue continuously into the supplied balance.
I deposited but my balance doesn't look like it's earning yet
Deposits are put to work automatically and it normally happens quickly after the deposit lands.
Do my assets stop earning when I borrow against them?
No. Collateral keeps earning yield the whole time, even while it is backing a loan.
How do I borrow?
On the Borrow page, pick an asset, enter an amount, review the live preview of the new borrow rate and new loan-to-value, then confirm. The borrowed amount should then arrive in your account.
How much can I borrow?
The app shows "Available to borrow" for each asset. It is based on the value of the member's collateral, weighted by each asset's LTV.
Why can't I borrow the full value of my assets?
Loans must stay over-collateralized so the amount borrowable will always be less than the full value of asserts. Each asset has a maximum LTV (for example, stablecoins allow a higher LTV than volatile assets), and the total borrowing power is the sum of the weighted values of your assets.
What interest rate will I pay?
The Borrow APY shown in the app. It is variable, set by supply and demand in the market.
Why is my rate different from someone else's, or different from yesterday?
Rates are dependent on the collateral the member holds and change with market utilization.
Is there a due date or repayment schedule?
No. Interest accrues for as long as the loan is open, and members can repay part or all of it at any time. There are no origination fees and no early repayment penalties.
My available to borrow went down but I didn't do anything
This can be caused by the market value of your assets decreasing, interest accuring on the borrow, or due to more funds being borrowed (either directly or using your ether.fi Card in Borrow Mode)
