GBP FPS allow users to fund their vault from UK bank accounts using the Faster Payments Service network. Funds will be automatically converted into USDC.
Who can use Faster Payments
• Users with access to a UK bank account
• Transfers sent from UK banks
• Currency must be sent in GBP
Processing time
• Usually within minutes
• In some cases it may take up to a few hours depending on the sending bank
Once received, the funds are credited to your vault shortly after processing.
Send GBP via Faster Payments in 3 steps
Step 1 – Get your bank transfer details
Go to: https://ether.fi/app/cash/bank/gbp and select Faster Payments
(Path: Vault → Add Funds → Bank → GBP)
Accept the terms and conditions to generate your personal bank transfer details.
Please note: You may be asked to provide additional verification documents before your bank transfer feature is activated. This is part of regulatory requirements.
Step 2 – Obtain your bank transfer details
After activation, you will receive unique bank account details assigned specifically to you.
Details you will need are:
• Account Name
• Sort Code
• Account Number
• Bank Name
• Beneficiary Address
ℹ️ Important:
GBP accounts provided currently carry a business name.
Each user receives a unique sort code and account number, so transfers are automatically matched to your account - Because the banking details are unique to you, the payment reference is not required.
These are the exact details you must enter when initiating your transfer.
Each field includes a copy icon so you can easily copy and paste the information into your bank’s transfer form.
Step 3 – Send the Transfer
Log into your bank and initiate a GBP Faster Payment using the details provided.
Save your transfer confirmation in case you need to follow up.
Fees
Transfers in GBP via FPS include:
£0.90 fixed fee
0.20% variable fee
Exchange rate: GBP 1.00 = 1.3459 USDC
There are no additional fees charged by ether.fi for GBP Faster Payments.
Your own bank may charge outgoing transfer fees.
Third party transfers
If funds are sent from a bank account that is not in your name:
• Under 500 GBP → processed automatically
• 500 GBP and above → the first transfer may trigger a Request for Information email to confirm source of funds
After the first successful review, future transfers from the same sender usually go through without additional review.

Can I cancel a bank transfer after sent from my bank?

No. Once your bank sends the wire, it cannot be recalled.
If transfer fails, funds will return to your bank within 3 to 5 business days.

No. At the moment, FPS is available for deposits only. Withdrawals are not supported yet.

Your deposit may be returned to your bank for one of the following reasons:
• The transfer details were entered incorrectly
• The sending bank is not supported
• The name on the bank account does not match your account
• Additional verification was required but not completed
• Compliance or regulatory restrictions
• For Incoming/Outgoing transfers, there is a limit of 2 transfers per 24 hours
If a transfer is rejected, funds will be returned to the sender bank. Your bank may apply fees for new incoming transactions.
