What are xStocks?

Learn more about xStocks

xStocks are tokenized representations of publicly traded stocks and ETFs.

When you trade into or hold xStock through ether.fi:

  • You receive a token designed to track the value of the corresponding stock or ETF.

  • The underlying asset is held by regulated custodians through the xStocks issuer's structure.

  • Your xStocks are visible alongside your other assets in ether.fi.

You can learn more about their structure in the xStocks documentation

Is there a minimum trade amount?

Buying an xStock currently requires a minimum trade value of $10 USD.

The amount you receive depends on the available quote, market price, liquidity, and applicable price impact at the time of the trade.

How are dividends and stock splits handled?

Corporate actions are reflected automatically through the xStocks rebasing mechanism:

  • Dividends are reinvested into additional units of the underlying asset, net of applicable taxes.

  • Stock splits and reverse splits adjust token balances proportionally.

  • No manual action is normally required from holders.
