King Rewards

Frequently asked questions on King protocol rewards

Updated over a week ago

What is King Protocol?

King Protocol is a restaking rewards framework used by ether.fi.

Rewards generated from restaking are routed through the protocol and distributed directly into the liquidity pool, where they are reflected through rebasing of eETH and weETH.

This design:

  • Simplifies the user experience

  • Reduces operational overhead

  • Eliminates the need for separate reward tokens

  • Ensures rewards are received automatically

Restaking Rewards Distribution

How are restaking rewards distributed?

Restaking rewards on ether.fi are automatically distributed via eETH and weETH rebasing.

What this means:

  • Rewards are auto-compounded

  • No claims are required

  • Rewards are reflected directly in your eETH / weETH balance

  • Simply holding eETH or weETH earns restaking yield

There are no additional steps or user actions required.

FAQs

How do I earn KING rewards?

Restaking rewards are earned by holding eETH or weETH and are automatically distributed via rebasing. No new KING tokens are issued.

Do I need to claim rewards?

No. There is no claim process. All ongoing restaking rewards are applied weekly through rebasing.

How often are rewards distributed?

Rewards accrue on a weekly basis and are reflected during periodic rebases.

There is no fixed distribution date or weekly payout.

How can I check when rewards were last distributed?

There is no single “last distribution” timestamp.

Rewards are reflected through balance changes over time. You can verify this by:

  • Monitoring changes in your eETH or weETH balance

  • Viewing rebase-related activity on-chain

Where can I see my earned rewards?

Rewards are included directly in your eETH / weETH balance. There is no separate rewards page, claimable amount, or rewards counter.

To track rewards, compare your balance over time using a wallet or portfolio tracker that supports rebasing tokens.

Is there a dashboard for restaking rewards?

No. Because rewards are embedded in the token via rebasing, there is no standalone rewards dashboard.

Does this affect my APY?

No. Your effective APY remains the same.
The reward delivery mechanism does not change yield economics.

Are rewards transparent on-chain?

Yes. Reward claiming, conversion, and liquidity pool funding are observable on-chain through contract rebase events and transfers.

What happens if I transfer or sell my eETH or weETH?

Rebasing rewards are embedded in the token.

If you transfer or sell:

  • The accumulated value transfers with the token

  • There are no unclaimed rewards left behind

Can I opt out of rebasing?

No. Rebasing is inherent to how eETH and weETH function.

Why hasn’t my balance increased yet?

Rebases occur periodically (weekly). If you recently deposited or are checking over a short timeframe, balance changes may not be immediately noticeable.

Is there a difference between rewards for eETH and weETH?

No. Both earn the same restaking rewards.
Differences relate only to token mechanics and DeFi integrations.

Is there a separate KING reward token?

No. Restaking rewards are not issued as a separate token.

Is KING still being distributed?

No. All current and future restaking rewards are distributed via rebasing.

I have previous KING rewards. How do I claim them?

If you have existing KING rewards:

  • They remain valid

  • They can be claimed or unwrapped at any time

  • There is no deadline

You can manage existing KING rewards here:

No new KING tokens are issued.
